What is Indie Monkey?
Indie Monkey is an online magazine with a fairly simple mission statement:
To bring the attention to the unsigned and minor label talent that they
so desperately need. Our magazine is fully interactive and depends on the
help, criticism and occasionally writings of the world at large. Go to
the contact page to learn
how you can write for us, or to send suggestions or to get your CD reviewed.
Why are you called Indie Monkey?
The owner and publisher is a monkey. Simple as that really.
Are you just about reviews?
Reviews are our mainstay and always will be, but we also have opinion
pieces, interviews and general discussions on all things musical. We also
are building a comprehensive links section that will be of great use to
fans and bands alike.
So who is behind Indie Monkey?
At this moment Indie Monkey is a two man, and one primate, organization.
Gordon is the owner, publisher and all around tyrant. Limeygit is the writer
and editor. Kizz is the genius behind the design.
That is not enough, tell me more?
Well don't say you didn't ask.
Gordon H. Monkey
Probably the most astonishing monkey in history. His career spans nearly
70 years, from his early days as Cheetahs stunt double on the original
Tarzan movies, through his turbulent friendship with Ronald Reagan, his
discovery of both Elvis and the Beatles up to his current position as elder
statesmonkey. This primate has done it all. For
the uninitiated, his biography is here.
If a monkey pays peanuts what does he get?
Limeygit
A hardworking Limey whose fall from his aristocratic beginnings is
a tale of ultimate woe. Once considered a shining light for all he has
drifted into a career as a monkey's coffee boy. He is actually responsible
for most of the content on Indie Monkey, and is an experienced freelance
writer. For the
full biography go here.
Kizz
A petty criminal from Greece who set off to America to discover his
fortune. His past soon came back to haunt him as he found himself blackmailed
into designing Indie Monkey by Gordon. His talent is only exceeded by his
eternal pessimism. For
